The Coping & Stress Profile^®

What makes this profile unique compared to other products in the training market place?

Most stress management products and programs focus on the physiology of stress management  - offering everything from deep breathing to positive affirmations in order to create a change in physiology which temporarily reduces the feelings of stress without addressing the stressors themselves. In contrast, the Coping & Stress Profile® is a skills-based approach which focuses on the four coping resources which allow an individual to reduce the negative effect of the actual stressors as they occur.

How long does it take to administer the profile?

Each of the four sections - personal, Work, Couple and Family - will take 20 to 30 minutes to complete and score. For this reason it is recommended that in most cases you should only administer one or two sections (usually Personal and Work) during an actual seminar or workshop. If they are relevant, participants can then complete the other sections on their own.

How can I develop a seminar or workshop around this profile?

The Coping & Stress Profile Facilitator’s Kit contains a totally scripted full-day and half-day seminars, complete with overheads, handouts, case studies and interactive exercises.

Are there other resources available to help with workshop development?

The Coping & Stress Profile Facilitator’s Video was designed to be used as a train-the-trainer resource. It consists of a series of 10 brief video modules which thoroughly explain the administration, scoring and interpretation of profile results. Portions of this video can also actually be used by a facilitator during a workshop to provide a full explanation of coping resources to participants.
